Wrestling!
Wrestling in Harlan
Community has a deep tradition. From having the first youth
tournament in the state, 1967, to being high school state
champs in 1967. Youth wrestling in Harlan continues to be a
popular sport for area youth in the winter. Home to the
Cyclone Beginners Tournament and the Cyclone Trophy
Tournament there is plenty of wrestling action for the youth
wrestlers. Harlan is also the location for District 8 AAU
State Wrestling with more than 10 counties traveling to
Harlan in March to wrestle and qualify for the AAU State
Tournament in Des Moines.
